I was born and raised in West Virginia, the daughter of a coal miner. The most important things in my life are my family--husband John, daughter Jana, son Jason, two granddaughters, Emeline and Isabelle--writing, and my job. I love to go to work each day to a job that includes all of my passions--reading, writing, art, puppets, creatively influencing the education of young children, and last, but not least--writing silly poetry! My life is very good, indeed.
